a virus spreads,
reminding us,
death lurks beyond the door,
masks on our faces,
symbolic of our cowardness,
gutless,
both rich and poor,
stock markets crash,
hoping to hoard their wealth,
while poor people whine about equality,
and healthcare,
stark the fact,
death lurks beyond the door,
the same as any day,
in the life of man.
