He’s a man who sells after all

At night, his table

comes alight

with

a bottle of bourbon.

His left hand goes straight

to feel

his balls.

The rambling of the crickets

nutty in the backdrop

passes around darkness.

The balls are there

despite his desk-job

to call home to home

and sell knives

that can slice

any madman’s domestic silence.
