straight downhill
except hairpin curves
heading to the Coast Highway
dead ahead – Pacific Ocean
right – Malibu
left – Santa Monica
(he requested)
….never been to Malibu
(I responded)
….don’t bother
( he retorted )
let’s go to the Santa Monica Pier
& ride the Ferris wheel
& fly in circles
my wings are getting tired
