Love? What is it?

When the most hard-headed writer of the twentieth-century
Lay dying, he asked himself a final question, then answered it:
“Love? What is it?
Most natural painkiller that there is.”[1]

Occultists will have you believe that
“Any thought of love
Uplifts the vibration of the universe.”[2]
This can’t be proved, but consider the alternative.

There’s a chain reaction from the hate vibration
Which keeps man earthbound through blood lust.
But, thanks to love’s high-octane fuel, the soul can fly –
Ask a glowing couple feeding birds in the park.
