just be here, you, yourself are
a promise of life, star-standing at the bridgehead
river and night flowing past,
you manifest an invisible galaxy
in your own silence
everything starts to take shape on your windowsill.
as you are, the universe is: star axes turn,
sea leans upon the land, outstretching tender arms,
wind blows, flowers bloom; sunrise and raindrops
even our transient love for things
bears unchartered meanings
everything is praise and breath;
even the worn out knees of waves,
even dull repetitive words
existence is acceptance
no need to think how to define it
you exist; your world next to you
like senior peaceful parents, listen in the dark,
to the breath from the flame of your lamp;
knowing you are exploring the joyful nature of things
like a present borrowed from a distant country
