JK ROWLING’S NEW BOOK

I made an alternative cover for the new JK Rowling/Robert Galbraith novel, The Toilet Constable, which has started appearing in a bad bookshop near you.

Print file can be downloaded from my website.

Here’s the text from the inside cover:

“Robert Galbraith is a woman author who publicly presents as a male author. It is grimly ironic then that, for over a decade, he/she has used his/her enormous wealth to engage in a campaign to prevent trans and gender-non-confirming people from accessing public toilets and other facilities in an attempt to make it harder for them to take part in society.

“Galbraith/Rowling, using his/her platform and wealth to fuel the demonisation of trans people, has directly led to their legal and social persecution, including a dramatic increase in transphobic violence. This has been catastrophic for trans people but this atmosphere of suspicion and hatred harms cis people too. Anti-trans rhetoric has also been a cornerstone of far-right propaganda and is promoted by authoritarian anti-LGBTQ+ leaders like Donald Trump and Vladamir Putin. Putin personally praised Rowling for her stance against trans people in 2022.

Galbraith/Rowling’s concerted and well-funded attack on both the trans community and free speech, which has extended to using lawyers to bully his/her critics into silence, is funded by sales of books like this one.”

NEW IN THE SHOP

There’s probably a very limited demand for this, and my thoughts are clouded by nostalgia for the back-breaking child labour of my youth, but I’m going to get some paper delivery bags printed up with this on them. If you’d like one, you can pre-order from my website. I’ll put the order in on the 17th October.

I’ve also added a new postcard pack to my shop, featuring 9 new postcard designs from my work over the last couple of years. Also available individually. You can order them here.

ANTI-BIRD BIRD HOUSE

A hostile architecture bird house I made for Shangri-La, Glastonbury this year.

While the Hell Bus had moved to the Greenpeace field it was nice to have some of my work in the field, and among the people that started it all for me at Glastonbury.
I’m making an edition of these available in my shop.

I also made this Neon Bug Hotel (right)

HIRING NOW

I’m looking for a part-time London-based studio assistant! £15 an hour, and my studio is in Sydenham, SE26.

Work primarily involves packing and posting out orders two days a week, but I could also use help with other studio-based tasks, which could be anything from logistics and social media scheduling to carpentry, fabrication and video editing.

Essentially the main thing I consistently need help with is getting orders out the door, but when there aren’t many orders that week I could really also use a hand with the millions of other things I should be doing.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please email me your CV!
