Sky, consecrated scroll

Heavy impasto of the

greys, blacks, silvers.

Layered realities. Cobalt blue, Monet’s favouraite.

Warm colour palette. Primordial patterns.

Uneven coatings. A sky, unblemished, ruddy, new.

Sweeping arcs, loops; giant geometric signs, unveiled.

Inner eye awakens.

Esoteric designs, read by the ancients; hymns

of

vanished tribes, re-inscribed ritually in space.

Irritated commuters, impatient. Gardiner Expressway chokes.

Getting late,

important meeting with that dour mortgage advisor. (The clouds

hang low, threatening storm.)

Vault changes into squares, cubes,

octagons,

jagged lines, circles, cones. Sign language

born of altocumulus. Clouds are chased by a

lonesome

wind and often lanced by radiant columns that

flood the earth. Dappled pools among the pines;

those shimmering shadows in light rain, a gentle

melody for young lovers; Lakeshore Boulevard.

Primum Movens weaves

pentagrams, shapes, figures,

assisted by the wind and light

in the empyrean.

Fragile symbology—to be wiped

soon by the brute forces

of

blackness, lurking nearby.
