MURDER POEM

I don’t know what you think but I think

that for my husband to respond the way
he did so emotionally to the murder attempt
was something of an over-reaction. It’s not
as if I knew what I was doing, it was my first
try and surely it’s understandable that I got
things wrong and made a right mess of
the whole thing. I need to go away and do some
proper research on, for example, poisons –
preferably the undetectable kind. That’s
the thing about my husband, he always reacts
emotionally to the least little thing. He doesn’t
like it when I do things without asking his
permission. Anyway I’m going to have another
go but I’m not putting that in writing.
