write poems that use fire as your quill
write poems using thunder and storm
write poems with the celestial gravity of stars
write poems with the magic of quantum theory
write poems on the seabed, in the orbiting ISS,
poems to accuse the guilty & hold them to account
write poems that are bullets from an assassin’s gun
write poems from within a surrealist painting
write poems that are revolutionary manifestos
write poems to reverberate for a thousand years
write poems to trash as soon as they’re written,
I’m putting my shoulder to the poetry wheel
in the way that Allen Ginsberg howled
Adrian Mitchell shouted truth against power,
Adrian Henri deluged vivid hard images while
Michael Horovitz’s anglosaxophone dances,
write poems that refuse to be silenced
that rip the guts out of false messiahs
write a poem on every pixel of the screen
but write poems, write poems, write poems…
