Too Expressive

When the teardrops fall
Laughter
Gets lost.
Teardrops and laughter
Make us human,
For we feel pain
And joy.
The rain falls
Until it is not safe
To romanticize it.
I lose your company
We cross roads,
On uneven hours.
I pick up the guitar
It bleeds.
I see no fashion
On the streets,
Only mere survival.
People greet
And become strangers.
A mere existence
This is a strange time
When art is criticized
For being too expressive.
