GLORIA POEM

I do not normally speak to strangers but
for you I’ll make an exception. I cannot
work with morons. I am highly valued in
all the stores owned by the John Lewis
Partnership. Home decor is very important
in my life, and I cannot abide dust and fluff.
Asparagus is necessary but kale can go take
a hike. I am wearing new shoes today,
which explains the spring in my step.
I have a husband. I came across him in
a bargain basement and he is well-behaved.
I refuse to work on the weekend. Weekends
are when I confer with the gods regarding
dress, cosmetics, menu ideas, and hairstyles.
