Silence.
It can hold more meaning than words,
learn to be a deep observer who reflects
not only the mistakes but a rhythm
that steadies the stranger’s hand
without asking for a name.
As my city walks uneasy
on the cobbled street
an undulation invites
unsteady legs on a wet monsoon time
to attach them to an idea
until the night hides in a shack.
I think of those who drops bomb on the
rally and still buy hilsa fish from the market
who lost friends yet share a cup of tea
with the enemies and shout slogans,
now I know
Night knows no darkness.
