Returning From A Memorial Service

His upside down cactus head
prompts me to seek the sky
below in his chest.
Today it remains overcast.
The clouds cling to their grief.

We saunter towards the lake
caged by the authorities
after it took a child.

Anything can happen now,
but nothing will
because we are in a pair.
