Roughly

I mean you can do what you want
That’s alright with me
Do unto others
Even Confucius understood that
It’s just that every so often there are musts
Got to keep your end up
With all these people involved
They’re counting on you for something
Just look what happens with the call in sick
If you don’t do it
Maybe it just won’t get done
Or certainly not the way you address it
Are you acting on things
Or are they just impinging on you
Shake it off?
Or take me to your maker
Though that may be too much all at once
Or you want to get through to someone
You don’t particularly care about what
Long as you like it
Love to see your welcoming smile
Dressing to impress
And the fools quibble, accuse and snap
Is it getting better?
I know we like that one
I’m sure we did
Love’s what you make it
And maybe we’re all out of love
The vibe and the groove
Will insist their designs upon it
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times
Don’t let it get away
The good part
I tried to make stay
But you know how it is
Tough love or easy
