Opening the door, I saw your red carpet on the floor
Laughter in your eyes undressed me, it’s no disguise
Candles dancing everywhere, shadows flickering care
Your arms reaching out kept me, there was no doubt
You’d heard I had a fall, you did not wait, I got your call
A summons from a dream, “Come ‘round, my sunbeam!”
From rocky mountain stair, I travelled, found you there
All along the way, my beating heart, this frabjous day
Fireplace logs brightly burning, my mirrored yearning
Inside, sitting close together, outside stormy weather
Touching, holding tight, now ready in the candlelight
My eyes shone for you, hesitation gone, we flew
We moved, echoing all night long, this was our song
We’d met again, close, at last free, it’s just you and me

And yet another beautiful poem – with such tenderness, such atmosphere, such vivid imagery and emotion. Simply beautiful!
