When you and I met meet by the riverbank,
our city pulls its hair in intense agitation and
rolls in dust aiming hunger is the only truth
floating like pieces of paper.
When you and I sit on our verandah and
at open staircase, the wind-blown winter
leaves near the flowerpot at the corner
scribble our names.
When you and I meet like the two hands
of a wall clock at the midnight hour,
friendship leaves her chalk mark on the black
sky in the shivering cold.
When I take your two hands into mine
the bedroom wall scripts musical play,
our love is disguised as a chip poem
in the front desk of my table.
