They say at least a minimum
of three ingredients; but I,
poet that I am, patriot that I
am — both poorly paid re-
munerations — must make
do with two. Most often cold
gruel & white salt, a turning
my back on the cuisine of the
French rubber barons who rule
down south. They might avoid
booking hotels that only have
those tiny square box fridges,
but I say “less can be more” &
am often astonished by just
what can be achieved. That’s
the philosophy we followed
when we fought against, first,
the French, &, later, the Ameri-
cans. I use my bicycle as much
as I can. I call it Bright Spirit.
