A Truthful Woman

I see how day after day, my meaningless expressions,

get lost in the vast void that exists between us.

I cry in my heart,

little I have to offer to my god of love.

There is your grandiose facade,

but silent devotion seems not my fate,

for you, my incapacities, my ordinariness and my unpleasant demeanour-

who will remind you the proverb-

“Don’t dig up seeds to see if they are growing.”

In inexpressible love,

I fall from the fortified position of being a woman,

to a neglected, damned earthworm,

when you make a combined assault on

my she self and

take the skin off my love.

” Be kind to me, be kind… “

Thus cries the half-forgotten shadow of a truthful woman.
