Bingo’s Coffin & Coup

Below is a Vimeo link to a short film by Fritz Catlin, founder member of post-punk/industrial/skewed funk/world music/Marxist-situationist band 23 Skidoo. The voice-over tells the story well – his friend Bingo died in a fire in the neighbouring house when Fritz was living in a squat in London in the early 1980s, and the film shows Bingo’s coffin being ceremonially removed from the ruins of the house. It’s an intriguing glimpse of a lost world. It was shot on super 8.
