we know waves lapped
on the shore, private
yachts sailed, ships
journeyed with fine
cargoes, and special
sunshines were over
that horizon
if the photo was of
simplicity as art,
it worked with the
few vivid colours, but
we know the person
lived a privileged
and corrupt life
