One Response to Monsieur Hulot’s Parisian House.

    1. Atkinson may have stolen a few tips from Mr Hulot, but his modern films have nowhere near the same qualities for cinematography and nostalgia. it’s much more than simple charicature and hales form the tradition of silent multi-talented comedy and variety show. also from ensemble pieces where multiple characters have distinct qualities. something of Laurel and Hardy, with a contrary disdain for high-brow, whilst attempting to attain to it. The simplest timed accidents are hilarious but what it takes to contrive them is genius. Even when Mr Hulot embraces modernity in his last feature Trafic, he comes unstuck. thanks for sharing.
