Outside the Broken Heart

broken2

A
complete dimension
opened up
it didn’t matter if it was Me

something utterly beautiful

made a mockery of all the pain

it insinuated itself
through the interstices of bitterness

and desire

and called

with its supernal song
to my yearning soul

“this is not the end”

it whispered

weirdly

in its particle rhythm effervescent constellation voice

“this is the beginning”

of what love really means

you can’t hang onto it
you can’t keep it

it mates with your atoms

invites you into its

vibrating centre

and shoots you out

into the stars

so that your heart

becomes

the soul of the earth

and feeds

even the ignorant
