Fools fool in bespoke foolery;
half-wise counsellors, wistful, keep vigil
at wakes; as Leviathan shudders:
her jelly cold, but untransfixable.
No salve has been invented yet for
on-demand suppuration of her ulcers.
In a confined chamber, someone mouths
mute at submarine & inexplicable
dumb-shows; decibels are ramped-up.
The rest is unending lassitude.
