THE TRIUMPH OF HORROR: A NEW CHAPTER OF INTOLERANCE AND HATRED – MATTEO SALVINI AND THE VICTORY OF THE LEAGUE (LEGA)
Italian Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini, the insipid and spiteful creator of the “Decreto Sicurezza” and the recent “Decreto Sicurezza BIS”,Decree, by which anyone saving Migrants from death or danger at sea is open to the severest levels of conviction, along with fines of between 3.500 and 5.500 euros for each person saved, scored another electoral victory on Sunday 26th May 2019 for his nefarious League (Lega).
Although subject to intense criticism and denied approval, Salvini’s dangerously inhuman and abhorrent proposal was described as him as inevitable; “if it is not passed today, it will be tomorrow” he exclaimed, in yet another chilling echo of the nazi/fascistic goosesteps Right wing Europe is currently making.
It is clear that today’s definition of Election victory can be seen as being:
The triumph of wickedness, insensitivity and the most extreme form of intolerance; a sad confirmation of the fact that most human beings build their existence around the roots of selfishness, in order to prepare a future in which children will populate a new land of hate.
People should remember that we are not citizens of our country, but we are citizens of our planet. Everyone has the duty to help and the right to be helped.
