Historically,
science fiction has positioned young, attractive women
in the background or the foreground, either imperilled
by an alien or reading and relaying the latest information
regarding an alien (spaceship) approach to the Captain
who will be ultimately responsible for rescuing the woman
I alluded to initially. They are remarkably similar. Not only
the women. But the Captain and the alien, who are subject
to desires and unable (or unwilling) to control themselves
in the face of (female) provocation. For illustrative purposes
the women are dressed inappropriately and often given
dimples. If they were free to choose they would select
the alien before succumbing to the Captain (halitosis)
