The Search For Soma, Julio Mario Santo Domingo and his LSD Library, Catalogue 1
All of the items in this short, potent catalogue came from a private library of altered states of consciousness made by the late Julio Mario Santo Domingo, who set up a foundation and called the collection The Ludlow Santo Domingo Library or LSD Library. The collection was principally spread over a few very spacious floors at chemin du Foron 16, Thônex, Suisse Romande (where I worked for a while).
Click here for the low-resolution PDF, from my website and here and here for a heavier version in two parts on Dropbox. As always digital images are available on request. We have also printed a small number of perfect bound catalogues, click here to acquire one. All prices are net, institutional queries are always welcomed.
My pop up on the Spanish Civil War with Tenderbooks continues and we are replenishing the offering with new material.
On a personal note, I think Julio might be delighted that everyone could share his ‘inner travels’ through this modest list and also at The Houghton Library and indeed near enough the whole Harvard library system (where the vast bulk of his beloved collection is deposited) and not forgetting the Rock Hall in Cleveland. There is now a book available on the LSD Library from Anthology Editions. Tank Magazine has just created a beautiful little preview of this catalogue online.
