ANOTHER FINE AUGUST MORNING

Life is a dream and there is a
Talon that waits to take you.
There are tiny birds in the lane.
The sun is shining and the valley is bright.
You will drink again.
You must control yourself
Because she is fragile
And you are fragile
And life is a dream.
She is a tiny bird.
You are quicksand,
You are a morass.
You must be good.
Do no harm.
Let your heart snap a little
When you see her rice-cakes.
Wake up. You are comatose
In your quickness.
You will never understand
What you create because
This life is a dream.
