Bippety and Boppety Discuss the Art of Disguise

– You look different today somehow.
– I’m wearing a disguise.
– Ah, that’s what it is. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.
– It’s something of a necessity.
– It makes you look like a pirate, or something along those lines.
– A seafarer.
– Ah yes, indeed. Might I enquire as to the why and the wherefore?
– It’s a new lady moved in across the road. She follows me to the shops. She’s seems to have fallen under a romantic spell, and I don’t approve.
– I’m not surprised. You’re far too old for that kind of nonsense.
– Indeed. So the plan is she’ll think I’ve moved away, and now this crappy old sailor is living where I used to live.
– Is it working?
– It’s my first day. Jury’s out.
– If it works this’ll have to be your style for the rest of your life, or until she moves away, or she finds another target for her love interest.
– I didn’t think of that.
– You should’ve thought of that.
– Oh well, it probably won’t work anyway.

– There’s no way it’ll work.
