Outside the breeze is mild
Feelings of yesteryears-
School children going back
Celebrating school ending
I measure time with past
And present merging. Only the
Din of traffic is marker of change.
How different this hill town has
Become or has it?
It keeps memory intact
But why must I preserve
The past? Perhaps the stealthy
Hills know. School boys
Measure time with running around,
Eating chocolates, scolding by teachers
School days remain in phases
Of change. The teacher with the stick
Appears in a vision. I must have been dreaming.
