Dear Friends

This message was forwarded to me from a former QCA member and it looks to contain useful advice for anyone who might be considering donating to assist those helping and caring for wildlife survivors in Australia.

> Kangaroo Island (in my state) – rallies to save wildlife among bushfire devastation!

> Our fire-fighters are suffering with PTSD & need counselling because they could hear the Koalas screaming in the flames & couldn’t do anything to help them!

>

> It’s unbelievable but the ACCC (Australian Competition & Consumer Commission) has warned of scammers pretending to be charities & conning generous people of money who believe they are helping fire ravaged communities!

> Some friends have asked me about donating, obviously we must be careful who we donate to.

> If you know anyone that would like to help, this GoFundMe page for the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park is reputable, they need donations for veterinary costs, Koala milk & supplements, extra holding/rehabilitation enclosures, as well as setting up a building to hold supplies to treat the animals.

> They have raised  $794,409 so far!
