How I Learnt To Face You

One of the frogs begin
to eat the boys’ rocks and stones.
One by one all frogs evolve
to digest the hardness,
hatred, cold and cruelty.
The shadows soon tire out the Sun.
The boys too, exhausted by
the long run of no-fun, leave.
The voice and laughter bounce
against the silence. When
the moon rises the frogs send
their tongues after it.
