Tonight is howling wilderness
Not because of dogs barking
But night refuses to yield to time
Perpetuating endlessly
But you say every night is like this
This hill town knows when it is in slumber
Or when night becomes clamorous
In silence
I pick up threads one by one
To examine night’s riveting madness
Suddenly a drunk howls;
As a child,I would often listen to tapping
Of doors, these carry into relentless
Memories. Night is the time when the hill town takes a breather from the day’s
inscrutable presence.
