I loved you the whole day,
You loved me only in moments.
I loved you with all my heart,
You only loved me in parts.
I engaged you in deep conversations,
You only replied me in monosyllables.
I gave you a permanent home,
You used it as a temporary shelter.
You warmed me up
And then left me.
Now I am burning
In this love,
Slowly like an incense.
And I witnessed now,
Your present,
Your absence,
Your arrival,
Your departure,
Still I’m here
Breathing-living,

Bio:- Monalisa Parida is a post graduate student of English literature from India, Odisha and a prolific poetess. She is very active in social media platforms and her poems have also been translated into different languages and publish in various e-journals.
She has got 80 international award for writing poetry.
