They tell me one thing
And I feel another
They say, “follow the rules”
And I ask, “what are they?”
They say “you should know”
And I ask “who are you?”
They want me to follow the market
And I’m not for sale
They say “just buy”
And I didn’t know
That I needed anything
They demand me to be pleasant
And I see a bunch of slaves
Some following the government
And some in the hamster wheels of the market
And I am an alien
A stranger
Not owned by anyone
Not owning anything
“The nothing”, “ the impossible”
Now visible, to the deluded
So I have to be deleted
With the keys not connected
No sanctions works
No tax increase
No threat of deportation
To the one who doesn’t belong
Inside of the fenced prison
We grow up afraid of prisons
When it wasn’t a place
But merely an idea
They told us the prison is a group of walls
Limiting one’s sight, movement and reaction rights
Yet they set borders with the same function
But under the protection claim
Today I know the prison is a place
You can’t escape with movements of a body
Or understanding the structure
However easy that it’s made
But the escape only happens in the mind
When you remember
Your body, your skin
Is the first prison you are born into
And then the name
Nation
And whatever you are told you are
Now I realise
Even prisons are imprisoned
Prisoners are captured
And they capture their prisoners
And I can’t wait for the freedoms
Which will come with my last breath
As I see
There is no other way.
