I see it left there
A bike suitable for me
Locked to a pole
For months I see
Under the sun
Under the rain
It doesn’t belong to me
Observing it leads to pain
it’s getting wasted
Rain brings life to all
But the chains getting rusted
I see it every time I pass by
“I should save it,” I feel
“Such a waste,” I sigh
And then I ask myself
“Are you a guy who breaks a lock,
To save a bike?
“What if it is not abandoned?
What if someone watches
I’d hate it if the owner still searches”
I ask and I know the fate of the bike
And I know I will think for days
And I will see it and I will take a hike
As we have laws and crimes
To protect rich ones’ bikes
so they go to waste
And the poor ones’ time with it
Overthinking
