The Murder Story

Storm seeks a path

through the violence of the trees.

You kill me midst

the chaos

so that they won’t notice.

The roots still breathe

inside.

The molecules of minerals feed it.

In love, the keepers keep.

The chaos provides

a casket for their keeps.

You choke me

in the frozen deep of id,

and outside a shower

wets the concrete.

Move your lock. Wipe your cheeks.
