The Guy With the Red Eye

I always watched the hevelled tree
Beside the road, while I crossed silhouetted
Prakashghat measuring the grey milestones.
It was a Bakul tree as if an umbrella with its
Bottle-green chothes and hugh branches.
Every bough was just like an iron stick, strong
And fantastic with the empire of shadows.
Choir-birds sang their pastoral folks freely
Blowing their clarions and becked the grassy-
Corns under the tree ruffling their contours.
Cowboys sat on those branches dangling
Their legs and swinged on those boughs
Like monkeys to pluck yellow fruits delicious.
Last week a cyclone came like a monster
And cut the head of the tree with his sword
Of thunder and lightening through a turmoil
Today I watch a guy with the red eye who is
Whispering with his girlfriend about the
Whimsical sky leaning against the tree and
The broken bough of ephemeral tranquility……
