In the Beginning
was the blue-green earth
and the blue-green earth
was with the animals.
And all was “good.”
All was “very good.”
The woodlands hummed
with birds of every note
and feather.
The seas teemed
with lively, bright fish
of every fin
and silence,
and the great whales
danced fearlessly,
dreading nought
in virgin waters.
High mountains
were HOME
to mountain goats
and pigeons
(still rock doves then)
nested,
not on grimy,
city ledges,
among rusting spikes
and splintered glass,
but on protective,
cliff edges.
Hedgehogs ambled
leisurely,
unflattened, unpulped
by proud, fast cars,
by bored, boy racers
meeting sick “targets” –
without being decapitated
by garden
strimmers.
No fox
was “hunted.”
No badger
was “culled.”
No rat
was deemed “vermin.”
No male calf
was shot
(the day after being born.)
No chick
was gassed,
for being unable
to lay an egg –
or was suffocated
in a tight sack,
for being commercially
“unviable”.
The rivers
washed over pebbles
(not shopping trolleys) –
and there was nothing
to “fear” or “dread,”
as no ape
had yet mutated
into that unique
dysfunction,
of the Satanic
gene “homo.”
Sapiens sapiens
was with the animals.
The kingdoms
were kingless
and shalom
was (genuinely)
peaceable.
Gold was sunshine.
Silver was moonlight.
Money still grew
inside the trees,
and Earth’s sacred Law
to LIVE
and let LIVE –
had not yet
been turned,
into E-V-I-L.
In the Beginning
was the blue-green earth
and the blue-green earth
was with the animals.
And all was good.
All was very good.

Excellent. It is always good to find the world described as being for animals.
