– Weatherwoman is too close to washerwoman.
– That’s not good. My gran was a washerwoman.

– Unfortunately, yes.
– Weatherlady sounds a bit weird.
– And weather girl sounds like something from the 1960s in a mini-skirt.
– Plus, have you seen them? They ain’t girls.
– There’s no need to be rude.
– How about if we call them all weather people, and one spotted on their own in the wild can be a weather person?
– That would be ideal.
– Now, shall we go out for a walk?
– It’s pissing down.
