A city I hide daily in my torn diary pages,
I am a stranger here.
You remind me for being so alive
and not destroyed by cuts and gashes.
So many girls and women are raped and
killed over the years, thousands of years.
I know about your red anger and the
color of spilled blood on the pavement.
Our conversations are always like the old-fashioned
window frames that open only part way.
Last night winds destroyed my flower pots
throwing flowers on the open verandah.
I pick it up your angry words (~ flowers) only to let it slip
through my fingers again and again.
