Spring of Love

I have frozen fingers
I steal the fire
From your heart
And write my love is a spring.
This free verse
Has spontaneity
Which is like the cascade
Of rhythmic rain.
The spreading music of rainfall
Has been my consoling heartbeat.
You arrive like rainbows
Clad in the blanket of spring.
I flower for your art,
Come let’s embrace the shortcomings
Of this longing.
Forever the world lives on
And in losing you
I lose the world.
The sky is my canvas
Where your eyes are like
The sun and the moon.
Your love twinkles in the night
And I miss it like the embrace
Of the day.
