An out-of-date chicken pie in the refrigerator sums it up
The ice is melting but it’s still really cold Full stop
Each time something is imagined rain sweeps it away
It is clear that youth and the hurried scribbling vein appear to be gone
There is an issue I feel quite badly about
There was a programme about it on TV last night — I saw some of it;
halfway through I was bored
but the maid was terribly upset and said she was going
to go milk the cows and have a good cry
I thought that something of an over-reaction
This is a beautiful country much celebrated in song
but it’s full of poor people
Probably this should bother me much more than it does
but I am prone to selfishness, to neglect,
to trifle and let time and everything run to waste
I have that within which hinders me in every thing I ought to do
Yes, I am no longer married
Why do you ask?
