and plates
slide
off
her hand
fragments
on the kitchen floor as
she stumbles
into furniture
falling
through
her own feet
the clockface a blur stairs curve back
over the rainbow
as she sets moulded melting into her
chair
Out in the garden her Grandson pauses
Wooden sword poised
To finish off a demon only he can see.
