Liliane Lijn has been short-listed to produce the next artwork for the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. The other five artists on the short-list are Hans Haacke, Ugo Rondinone, David Shrigley, Mark Leckey and Marcus Coates.
The artists have been invited to create miniature versions of their proposed works, which will go on display from 25th September in the nearby church of St Martin-in-the-Fields. Two artists from the shortlist will be selected early next year by a panel of experts chaired by writer Ekow Eshun, and their works will go on display in, respectively, 2015 and 2016.

We’re also very happy that Lijn has been awarded one of the five Resonance FM’s Jerwood commissions for radiophonic art as part of Derry-Londonderry City of Culture 2013. Other commissioned artists include Mike Cooter and Mark Vernon.
Lava Flow cuffs and rings, part of the Earth Art series
Earth Body Art continues until 3rd November 2013 at the Museo Civico di Santa Croce in Umbertide, Italy, as part of Piccoli e Grandi Musei, Capolavori in Valtiberina. This solo exhibition shows Lijn’s wearable art works in silver and gold. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue designed by Richard Wilding, with texts by Marinella Caputo, curator of the exhibition and Marcia Tanner.
