Caging the feelings

Let the cage open,
Let the sky be measured.
The revealing chapters of life
Are wisdom scrolls of time.
Chapters evoke the feelings
Of study.
The cage isn’t a home;
No garden to walk barefoot,
No free shackles.
The feelings if caged
Would hate the first
Smile on the face of
A newly blooming child.
The audition of happiness
For the world
Is to be judged by not
Caging the feelings.
The age of innocence
Isn’t a scratch
On the face of experience.
Childhood hours
Lead to snowcapped mountains
Of experience.
