CHRISTIAN POEM

I just saw a dog I’m sure it doesn’t belong around here It had
the face of a vagabond and the eyes of a politician Lately
all kinds of ne’er-do-wells have invaded our lovely neighbourhood
They’re probably after our young and possibly also some of our old
I would take a broadsword to the neck of such people Drag their
headless bloodied corpses to the ravine On the other hand perhaps
that’s not a very Christian way of behaving Maybe I should ask
them round for a cup of tea and a biscuit and talk about Our Lord
