Collapse

No one claims the responsibility;
no one takes the blame; from the debris,
the collage of distorted landscape
and flame I retrieve you and glue
together the pieces. The earth quivers
again. We can run around on the palm
of the world but can hardly hide.
Another building is unbuilt. Three doves
appear from nowhere, and within some ruins
one golden koi signs the treaty of stability.
I have some pieces of you that makes
no sense and doesn’t fit. I won’t leave.
I tell you because I have been behaving
otherwise before the earth stirred.
