New Realms

I find joy in comparing border and boundaries,
separate and different- one space from another.
The rigid and the yielding- the subtle contrast,
light and shadow doze in the silence of the valley.

I love the openness of windows- it carries meaning
and the gentle flowing forms of mango trees.
The blue mountain is mute at the sundown
shaping how we perceive and interact at the junction.

The trees evoke a sense of freedom, swaying
beyond set confines, into glimpses of new realms.
I trespass on the grass, write elegies on the inverted
leave, and on carbon paper that arrives in stillness.

I search water stained graffiti and eye-catching
wrecks, draw my mummified face in the last trench.
