People treated like pigeons on the street
Pennies or pounds please for something to eat?
Pompous politicians too callous to care
So many second homes going spare
Beg borrow lie for somewhere to lie
World wearied heads rest on cardboard beds
Highbrow society snobbishly strict
Addict then homeless or homeless then addict?
It’s not our problem if we just look away
Yet would we live that way just for a day?
