My desert city’s Monday good enough
but comes 2 brothers’ messages
from each metropolis
about some gray ocean
arcs white on a city not yet visited.
Travel’s great—expand your mind,
understand others! What good
brave Pa commanded,
his face once in mud and snow
and red blood in another country,
paralyzed and mute, steel
helmet punctured.
Bros push, hectify me:
Let’s go, see, do!
Don’t botch life gulps!
My silent toughie muscles up.
Ah, let me take
my small walks,
fiddle with twigs.
Let me sit and read.
Let me be,
real as motion.
